Ismaily claim first win, Dahleya rally to move top of Egyptian Premier League table
An eventful Egyptian Premier League week, witnessing a five-goal thriller and two comebacks
Published in Ahram Online on 25 - 09 - 2014

Ismaily chalked up their first league win of the season with a 2-1 away win over Gouna, while last season's strugglers Dakhleya moved top of the table after coming back from two goals down to hold El-Geish to a 2-2 draw.
John Antwi's third goal of the season helped the Dervishes to victory, with the Ghanaian finding the net in the 64th minute to add to Mohamed Zika's opener four minutes earlier.
The visitors, however, had to endure some nervy moments, with Gouna pulling one back in the last minute of regular time through Mahmoud Said.
Ismaily now lie eighth of the league table on five points, whereas Gouna, who have yet to win after narrowly losing to Ragaa last week, are 14th on a single point.
Dakhleya comeback
Dakhleya notched two goals in the last nine minutes to draw 2-2 with Geish, who were en route to their second win of the campaign.
While Geish were thought to have already bounced back from their humiliating 6-1 defeat by Zamalek last week, a spot kick from Mohamed El-Fayoumi and a 90th minute goal from Khaled Rabie ensured spoils were even.
Geish's goals had come from Said Kamal and Arafa El-Sayed, who managed his third goal of the season, either side of the interval.
Smouha win, Maqassa edge out five-goal thriller
Last season's league runners-up Smouha overcame newly-promoted Nasr 2-1 to climb to the second spot of the table.
Ex-Zamalek men Hany El-Egaizi and Alaa Ali scored for the Alexandrians either side of the break for their second goals of the season, while Karim El-koumy netted for bottom side Nasr in between for their only goal so far.
Maqassa needed a 74th-minute goal from Ahmed Zaghloul to beat debutants Asyouty 3-2 in what could prove to be the week's most thrilling clash.
Zaghloul put Maqassa in front in as early as the first minute before Asyouty pegged them back through Magdi Ahmed and Ateya El-Nashawy.
Ahmed Kaboria brought Maqassa level on 53 mintues before Zaghloul bagged the winner in the 74th minute.
Maqassa are now fourth, level on seven points with leaders Dakhleya, while Assyouty are second from bottom on zero points.
Petrojet extended their winless streak to three games after losing 2-0 to Ragaa.
Two goals from Tarek Salim and Amir Ismail condemned the petroleum side to their second successive loss, while Ragaa claimed their second victory in a row.
