Trial of Alexandria security head adjourned Alexandria's criminal court adjourned to 20 June the trial of those accused of ordering or executing the killing of peaceful protesters in the Egyptian Revolution
Alexandria's criminal court adjourned to 20 June the trial of the head of security and other officers accused of premeditated murder during the January 25 Revolution. General Mohamed Ibrahim, head of Alexandria Security, and other policemen are indicted on charges of either ordering of executing the killing of peaceful protesters in the early days of the revolt. A session was held on Saturday only for the court to put off the trial for more than two months. The courtroom witnessed stepped-up security measures while the defendants were placed behind bars. However, central security forces covered their cell with curtains, a procedure that angered some of the lawyers present in the courtroom. The session was halted until order was restored upon the removal of the curtains. A number of the martyrs' families were present, holding aloft photos of their murdered sons and relatives.
