CAIRO: Qasr el-Aini prosecution today listened to Ahmed Sukkar, who recorded a video condemning police lieutenant Mahmoud Sobhy el-Shenawy, known as the ‘Eye Sniper' for targeting demonstrators' eyes during last month's violent clashes in Cairo. The prosecution is headed by Judge Mohamed Abdel Shafy and under the supervision of Amr Fawzy, the general lawyer of Middle Cairo prosecution. Sukkar gave detailed information about the incident and how he recorded the video. Sukkar said he was at work in Mohamed Mahmoud Street, but he left work after hearing the sound of gunshots and tear gas being fired. He said he found security officers throwing tear gas and shooting towards protesters. He later recorded the video since he noticed other people doing the same. Sukkar said he does not know Shenawy and has never met him before.
