CAIRO: The Egyptian Salafi Front today called for the reformation of the National Security agency, describing it as a non-legislative alternative to Egyptian State Security. “Someone is directing this chaos in Egypt, which is designed to encourage conflict between national and political forces,” a Salafi statement read. The Salafis also condemned the reactivation of the Emergency Law, arguing that this will revert Egypt back to the time before the January 25 Revolution and eliminate the achievements of all previous demonstrations. Demonstrators attacked the Israeli embassy because of the lack of strict procedures designed to thwart Israeli aggression at the Israeli—Egyptian border in the Sinai Peninsula.
