The Egyptian Organization for Human rights welcomes the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces' (SCAF) decision to release several of those under military prosecution, including those accused of rioting on June 28 and 29 in clashes in Cairo's Tahrir Square and the in front of the Balloon Theater, in a statement released Monday. Hafez Abu Seada, the head of the organization, has asked the SCAF to stop transferring civilians to military courts. “Transferring civilians to military courts breaks the right to a fair trial which states that every person must appear before a judge in fair trail,” said Seada.
