Skipper Ahmed Hassan was called up to Egypt's squad for the Nations Cup qualifier with South Africa on Sunday along with five Ahli players. Ahli ace Hassan hasn't featured for the Pharaohs since suffering a long-standing cruciate ligament injury in September while playing against Sierra Leone in another Nations Cup qualifying game. He was named for the Bafana Bafana match along with Wael Gomaa, Ahmed Fathi, Sayed Moawad, Hossam Ghaly and Geddo. The full squad should be announced on Friday. Egypt are languishing at the bottom of Group G with one point, six behind leaders South Africa. The African champions have to beat South Africa in Cairo to revive their Nations Cup qualification hopes.
