Zamalek striker Mido said he has boycotted the team's regular training sessions because he doesn't want to negatively affect his teammates, adding that he feels 'down' because he's ineligible to feature for the Whites. Mido joined the Cairo giants in the winter on a free transfer but he cannot play for the 11-time Egyptian champions as a result of unfinished paperwork. The towering striker hasn't been training for quite a while, with report suggesting that he had fallen out with the coaching staff. But when asked about his absence from training, former Tottenham man Mido said to FilGoal.com: "I feel a bit down, that's why I take no part in training. "I came to Egypt to fulfill a dream; playing for Zamalek and help them win the league title. However, a naive administrative error deprived me of this. "It's not because of problems with the technical staff, but I am one of the influential players at Zamalek, if I went to training in such a condition, the team would be negatively affected." Zamalek are topping the Egyptian Premier League table with 39 points, five ahead of closest rivals Ismaili. Both teams lock horns on Monday in Ismailia.
