Vedad Ibisevic bagged a first-half hat-trick as Hoffenheim spanked Hertha Berlin 5-1 in the Bundesliga on Sunday. The prolific striker scored the first goal seconds after the kickoff, and doubled the lead after four minutes. Ibisevic completed the treble on 21 minutes, before Rafael Caetano de Araujo pull one back for Hertha on the stroke of half time. Chinedu Obasi and Carlos Eduardo further ensured Hoffenheim's superiority by netting one each on 58 and 62 minutes respectively. Hoffenheim are now third with 14 points, three behind leaders Hamburg. Beleaguered Hertha lie bottom on three points.
