Wolfsburg sign Zaccardo

Palermo defender Cristian Zaccardo joined German side Wolfsburg starting from next season, said the club officials.
“Zaccardo has signed a three year contract,” Wolfsburg Coach Felix Magath told the club's website..
The 27-year old player played with the Azzurri in their successful World Cup campaign but failed to maintain his pace and has no chances of playing in the Euro 2008.
“He is a player of great substance and quality. Cristian is powerful, good in the air and strong in the tackle.
“I am convinced that he will be a regular and that playing in the Bundesliga will help him become a fixture in the Italy side,” concluded Magath.
