The Scotsman appeared in television cameras doing an inappropriate gesture to Reading fans using both his arms, but he insists that it was just a celebration. "All I was doing was expressing my relief at winning what was one of our hardest games of the season," the United boss told reporters. "Reading always make it tough for us. We ran so much that we clocked up more kilometers than we have in any game this season." The English FA will examine video evidence and are about to open an investigation with Fergie, who has just recently returned from a two-match ban, following criticism of referee Mark Clattenburg during the 1-0 defeat at Bolton.
