CAIRO --Two people were killed and 14 seriously injured in two car crashes in the Nile Delta province of Sharqia, the official Middle East News Agency reported on Wednesday. Two people, whose identities have yet to be verified, were killed and another person in the first crash; 13 were injured in the second. Both dead and inured people were admitted to Al-Salhiya and Faqous hospitals. Car mishaps in Egypt are among the world's highest, and are blamed on reckless driving, ill-kept vehicles and poor roads.
