CAIRO - Life is back to Al Tahrir Square, the epicenter of massive protests that toppled President Hosni Mubarak, after the Army on Wednesday evacuated the area and detained more that 100 thugs who had attached peaceful protesters. Employees in tour companies, food outlets and other shops in the areas expressed happiness over the return of normal life as traffic was back in the square, under the watch of the Army personnel. "We missed our work too much. Although we used to open our company during protests, clients could not reach us. Life is back for us," said Ramadan Hassan, a tour company employee. Hassan and other staff, whose establishments are based in the area, called for the Army to be stricter against bids by some protesters to camp again. "Give the Government a chance to help the blessed revolution," said a street vendor, selling leather bags. Egypt's military rulers have been battling to steer the country through a fragile transition since Mubarak was overthrown on February 11, promising to pave the way for a free democratic society.
