CAIRO, May 15, 2018 (MENA) - The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) said the unemployment rate in Egypt plunged to 10.6 per cent in the first quarter of 2018 against 11.3 per cent in the same period in 2017. The number of jobless people stood at 3.094 million, representing 10.6 per cent of the total workforce, according to CAPMAS. Meanwhile, the number of employed people rose to 26.092, a 0.5 per cent increase compared to the last quarter of 2017.
