CAIRO, April 21, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt mainly seeks to achieve unity of the African continent and unify its stances at the international level, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) Makram Mohamed Ahmed said on Saturday. The SCMR chief made the remarks at the opening of the 51st training course for the African young journalists speaking in different languages, which is held under the theme "brotherhood and unity". The workshop is organized by the SCMR in cooperation with the African Journalists Union, under the supervision of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry. "We are keen on turning the unity and development of the joint South-South interests into reality," the SCMR chief said, adding that the African press should serve this goal. Ahmed further said that the council will launch a new website to serve as a communication platform for African journalists within a few months.
