Egypt calls on citizens to abide by Malaysia visa rules

CAIRO, March 11, 2018 - Egypt's Foreign Ministry on Sunday called on citizens travelling to Malaysia to abide by Malaysia's visa rules on the backdrop of soaring detention cases of Egyptian nationals violating such regulations.
Some Egyptians travelling to Malaysia on a tourist visa exceed the length of the granted visa with the aim of illegally looking for a job.
The Foreign Ministry called on citizens to abide by visa rules to Malaysia in order to avoid detention, paying fines, deportation and being black-listed by Malaysian authorities for at least five years.
