Egypt's Entrepreneur Awards (EEA) — in cooperation with Tatweer Misr Real Estate — announced the final list of candidates for its second edition. The competition witnessed the participation of hundreds of entrepreneurs in more than 17 different fields and 91 contestants nominated for the qualifiers. The finalists in the architecture and interior design sector are Raha Habib from Reha LLC, Hatem Essawy, Mohsen Rizk, Ahmed Tarek, Ahmed Khalifa and Mohamed Galal from Studio five, and Yasmina Makram from Yasmina Makram Ebeid Company. From the product design sector, there are Youssef Farag and Karim Rafla from Qubix Company, Khaled Atallah, Shahir Arslan and Hassan Arslan from Arika, Maryam Hazem and Hend Riad from Reform, Omar Ramadan and Moataz Dinana from Fil Khedma, Amir Allam from Elmenus, Mohamed Habib; along with Moustafa Amin and Abdullah Nofal from Breadfast in the e-commerce sector. From the clothing and fashion and accessories sector, there is Shady Elian from Hayden, Ezz Al-Din Tarek and Amr Kawashti from In Your Shoe, and Reem Alaa Hamed from Ramla. In the financial technology sector there is Ahmed Wageh, Fatma Al-Shenawy, and Omar Salah from Khazna, Ahmed Wadi from Money fellows, Mohamed Mounir ElHashemy, Yara El Abd and Motaz Lotfi from Paynas. From the food and beverage sector, the finalists were Dara Ghosheh from Dara's Ice-cream, Moustafa Al-Rifai and Chris Khalifa from Zooba, Suhail Turki and Loay Turki from Buffalo Burger, and Omar Fathy and Aliaa Helmy from the Eatery, Mohamed Abdel Hak from Mo Bistro, along with Amr Barghash and Ahmed Meligy from the Sage Experience. The finalists in marketing communications were Othman Badran and Taymour Othman from the Brand Bees, Ghada Wali and Yasmine Wali from Wali's studio, Maged Al-Sharif, Muhammad Abbas and Dina Ali from Matter, Muhammad Wasfi and Wael Azzam from Bubblegum, Sherif Baghdadi, Sherif Nashed from Circus, and Ramez Youssef and Muhammad Bassiouny from Tayarah World. From the real estate sector, there were Ramy Khorshid and Hussain Al-Khashin from Sakneen, Khaled Al-Sayyad from Prime Hospitality, and Amr Mostafa from Milango. As for the Social Entrepreneurship Award competition, the finalists were Ibrahim Shams and Noha Taher from Kilim, Mariam Afifi and Nour Al-Assal from Tagaddod, and Hussein Abu Bakr from Mozare3. As for the sports and fitness sector, the qualified individuals were Ali Mazhar from BeFit, Hussein Abdel-Dayem from Ignite, and Ayman Hakki from Trifactory. From the supply chain and logistics sector, the finalists were Mohamed Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Sheikha from Brimore, Mohamed Ben Halim and Belal Al-Megharbel from Maxab, and Moustafa Kandil from Swvl. The finalists in the technology and innovation sector were Mohamed Mostafa, Mohamed Nabil and Seif Ahmed from Widebot, Omar Rady and Ahmed Ashour from Pylon, and Galal Al-Beshbeshi and Ahmed Abaza from Synapse. In terms of the tourism sector, the finalists were Ahmed Yehia from Eco Nubia, Mohamed Kaoud from Egyliere and Mohamed Tahoun from Qusoor Arab. As for the Women's Entrepreneurship Award, the finalists were Nadine Abdel Ghaffar from Art d'Egypte, Dara Ghosheh from Dara's Ice-cream, and Yasmine Abdel Karim from Yalla Fell Sekka. For the Young Entrepreneurship Award, the contestants are Amr Emara and Farah Emara from Fresh Source, Muhammad Bin Halim and Bilal Al-Megharbel from Maxab, and Seif Amr and Ahmed Hamouda from Thndr. CEO of EEA Amr Mansi said that the evaluation committees of the participating companies include a group of the best experts and consultants in addition to a distinguished advisory board that includes a group of the largest economists and entrepreneurship experts in Egypt who conduct an integrated study of the companies of entrepreneurs based on accurate and recognised criteria. The criteria for evaluating companies include the suitability of companies' ideas to the nature of the society to which they belong, the scalability of the project, innovation, and competitive advantages. Moreover, the sustainability of these ideas is essential, as they have to comply with the 17 sustainable development goals, given that Egypt will host the Conference of Parties on Change Climate (COP 27) in Sharm El Sheikh this November.
