The festival's programme will include a variety of activities in the literary, artistic, and sports fields, as well as in the areas of environmental and community development. This will take place within a competitive framework aimed at reviving Egyptian tourism in the governorate of South Sinai, and encouraging and supporting individual and collective arts.
The festival will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh and Dahab.
The main programme of the 1st South Sinai International Festival includes competitions in literary composition, performing arts, sports, photography, design, handicrafts, and the heritage professions of South Sinai.
The Sinai heritage is characterized by handicrafts of clothes, accessories and bags, as well as pottery making which have a Bedouin patterns.
In addition to the main competition, the festival will organize sub-events concerned with initiatives for community development and environmental preservation, and other events concerned with the artistic community activities, all held on the sidelines of the festival for all participants.

South Sinai Governorate was endowed with the charming nature where it embraces mountains, plains, valleys and beautiful beaches, as well as Red sea water where coral reefs, rare fish and beautiful nature are portrayed.
South Sinai's most important tourist areas are concentrated in the Golden Triangle; Sharm El Sheikh, Nuweiba and Dahab.
Sinai is inhabited with Bedouins and every tribe has a different dialect and that's how they can recognise each other and which tribe a person is from.
They have their own Bedouin Law, which is highly respected. It is never disregarded or taken lightly. There are around 33 tribes across North and South Sinai.
Handmade crafts from Sinai include beads, embroidery and weavings. They are used in the making and adornment of women's gowns, face veils (burqas), handbags, earrings, pendants, necklaces made of colored beads and all those collectibles that bear the Bedouin stamp, which is characterized by ornate, bright colors, yet with a simplicity derived from the desert environment.
