Eitesal organises 1st networking meeting for Egyptian, African, Latvian IT companies
Meeting is first ICT sector networking event for African, European companies
Published in Daily News Egypt on 21 - 06 - 2021

The Egyptian Information, Telecommunications, Electronics, and Software Alliance (Eitesal) has organised the first networking meeting for a number of international and local information technology (IT) companies.
Aside from Egyptian companies being present at the meeting, there were also companies from Latvia and a number of African countries, which have been targeted for joint cooperation.
The two-day meeting, which started on Monday, comes as part of Eitesal's strategic role to develop businesses, and open new markets for communications and information technology (ICT) companies operating in the Egyptian market and worldwide.
This meeting is the first ICT sector networking event for African and European companies, in addition to members of the Egyptian Businessmen Association (EBA).
Each company can present its various products and services through the networking platform, allowing companies from other sectors to learn about the products and the services it can provide.
Mohamed Shedid, CEO of EITESAL, said that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has imposed a new reality on the business community.
Shedid noted that Egyptian companies have a long history of accumulated experiences that can be adapted and benefited from. Through the event, EITESAL aims to search for investment opportunities in various sectors in Egypt, and strengthen the country's relations with the rest of Africa in the ICT sector.
He added that the European market is promising for local companies, with investments in this market able to contribute to giving businessmen in Egypt and Europe a strong opportunity to establish joint projects in various commercial and industrial sectors.
This is due to Egypt's having strong relations with the EU, which confirms the depth of relations between the two sides.
It also means that any challenges can be removed that may hinder cooperation between countries in various fields, whether it is industry, agriculture, health, education, and others. This, in turn, ensures that local companies can market their products in many target markets.
