Schneider Electric becomes founding member of Global Cybersecurity Alliance
Published in Daily News Egypt on 20 - 08 - 2019

Schneider Electric has announced that it has joined as a founding member of the recently formed Global Cybersecurity Alliance.
The International Society of Automation (ISA) has established the alliance to enhance cybersecurity readiness and awareness of industrial and vital infrastructure installations and processes worldwide.
The alliance will proactively address growing and emerging cyber threats by bringing together end-user companies, technology and system vendors, IT infrastructure suppliers, service providers, system integration experts, and other organisations.
Nathalie Marcotte, senior vice president, Industrial Automation Services, Schneider Electric, said the company's goal is always to help customers increase their profits safely, efficiently, and reliably, which means doing everything they can to protect them from cyber damage.
“The alliance is very much in line with our international scope and appeal to everyone. Our participation as a founding member will enhance our collective ability to detect, prevent and respond to cyberthreats, while helping our clients in all sectors to better secure their assets and operations and also improve their business performance.”
Mary Ramsay, executive director of ISA, said, "As the industry faces an escalation in innovative and dangerous cyber-attacks, every organization interested in securing its global infrastructure must collaborate with us to improve how end-users defend themselves.”
She added that the alliance will be led by its members and work to encourage the development of new standards-based defense strategies that ensure people, processes, and technology are better equipped to face cyber threats and better protect them.
