Orange2fly to operate additional couple of flights to Sharm El-Sheikh
EgyptAir, Aegean Airlines expand codeshare agreement
Published in Daily News Egypt on 31 - 12 - 2018

Chairperson of EgyptAir Ground Services, Mohamed Fathallah, said that the Greek company Orange2fly will operate a couple of additional flights to Sharm El-Sheik airport shortly, in addition to its three weekly flights from Europe to Sharm El-Sheik airport.
Fathallah said in a Sunday statement that EgyptAir Ground Services contracted with Orange2fly to operate its ground services in Sharm El-Sheikh, adding that his company will also operate the ground services for Somon Air which is the first private airline in Tajikistan.
Somon Air began its first flights to Sharm El-Sheikh this week, while it will operate couple of weekly flights to Sharm El-Sheikh, said the statement.
Furthermore, Fathallah said that his company seeks client satisfaction, affirming that EgyptAir Ground Services owns the advanced equipment and offers its employees training courses which qualifies them to provide airplane service according to international standards.
In 2015, a number of European countries, including the UK, introduced restrictions on flights to Sharm El-Sheikh after a Russian passenger jet crashed in Sinai, killing 224 people.
Additionally, EgyptAir and Greece's flag carrier Aegean Airlines, will give their clients more travel options under a codeshare agreement.
The agreement has been expanded, so EgyptAir clients will be able to book tickets to travel to Marseille via Athens airport, EgyptAir Airlines Chairman Ashraf El-Khouly said on Sunday, noting that tickets for the new route are available on EgyptAir's website.
It worth mentioning that the codeshare agreement was signed in 2013.
