Published in Daily News Egypt on 26 - 07 - 2018

Cristiano Ronaldo (most expensive player in Italian Serie A)
Portugal's star, Cristiano Ronaldo, 33, made a big move from La Liga team Real Madrid to Serie A giant Juventus in the 2018 summer transfer window with a huge transfer fee of €117m, marking the most expensive deal in the history of Italian football. Ronaldo's transfer broke the Italian club's previous record deal, when Argentinean Gonzalo Higuain moved from Napoli to Juventus in 2016 for €90m. Ronaldo became the sixth expensive player in football history following Neymar da Silva, KylianMbappé, Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, and Paul Pogba. He is also the world's most expensive player aged over 30.

Alisson Becker (most expensive goalkeeper in football history)
Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker moved from AS Roma to Liverpool this summer with a transfer fee of €72.5m, to be the world's most expensive goalkeeper, surpassing legendary Gianluigi Buffon when he moved from Parma to Juventus in 2001 for €52m.

Riyad Mahrez

Manchester City completed the signing of Algerian Riyad Mahrez for a club-record fee of £60m (€67.5m) coming from Leicester City. Mahrez became the most expensive African player, surpassing Senegalese Sadio Mane, Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Kenyan Naby Keita, and Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Daley Blind
Daley Blind (most expensive player in Netherlands)
Daley Blind, 28, joined Manchester United in September 2014 coming from Ajax, for a fee of £13.8m (€15.5m). Blind played 141 matches with the English team and won four titles. In the last season, he played only 17 games. In July, Manchester United and Ajax announced through their websites that they had completed a transfer deal for Blind to return to the Dutch club for a four-year deal with a transfer fee of €16.5m.
