2nd round Drift Championship 2014/2015 to launch in February

The Drift Championship 2014/2015, organised by the Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt, has been formally announced by Haitham Fardy, Drift Egypt organiser. The championship, organised by STT Race Management will be held over six rounds, with the first round held last October and won by Karim Shalash, Hesham El-Khateeb, and Haitham Sameer.
Fardy said the winners will be determined by selecting the best from the championship's four rounds, with the second round scheduled for 2 February in the Cairo Stadium parking lot . He stressed that the Ministry of Tourism has approved the races and security authorities are examining the races and location timetables.
Fardy also told Daily News Egypt of the dates for the following rounds. The third round of the games will be held on 13 March in Ain Sokhna, the fourth will be held on 13 April in Hurghada and the fifth round on 12 June in Alexandria. The last round will be held on 10 August, again in the Cairo Stadium parking lot.
He stressed that the work-team began preparing for the second round of the championship in a way that would make Egypt proud. He said the competition would attract tourism and contribute to the development of the sport. The Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt began training participating drivers for the second round of the championship recently.
