Eight killed in road accident

Eight passengers were killed and 29 others were injured Sunday morning when a tourist bus flipped in the Red Sea governorate en route to Hurgada, according to the Ministry of Health.
The bus was coming from Cairo when the accident occurred, precisely 25 km into the Zaafarana-Hurgada road. Twenty-five ambulances were sent to the site of the accident, state-run news agency MENA reported.
Bad weather conditions are believed to be the cause of the accident, MENA reported.
In February, eight Egyptian hikers were stranded in a blizzard in the mountains surrounding St. Catherine. Four out of the eight hikers were found dead. Amid accusations of negligence, the armed forces said that the hikers should have notified the relevant authorities before embarking on their trip.
