Hassan Allam, CCC mandated to build four towers in Egypt's New Alamein

An alliance of Egypt's construction firm Hassan Allam and Athens' Consolidated Contractors International Co. (CCC) won a mandate to execute four giant towers in New Alamein City, a senior official announced on Sunday.
The cost of building four towers will be 16 billion Egyptian pounds ($991.3 million) with lengths ranging between 26 floors and 33 floors, said CCC executive vice president for North Africa Mohamed Tarek said.
The alliance is looking to complete pouring the concrete for the four towers in New Alamein, northwest of Cairo, within June 2020, Tarek said.
"Egypt captures the lions' share of CCC business volume compared to its presence in 40 other countries worldwide given the growing numbers of infrastructure projects and establishing new cities in the North African country," he said.
In March 2018, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi inaugurated New Alamein City on a space of 48,000 feddans, at a cost estimated at 2 billion Egyptian pounds ($123.8 million).
New Alamein is one of the fourth generation cities being built in Egypt in some of the most up-to-date architectural styles, and is scheduled to be finalised in one-year timeframe.
The city is planned to have universities and schools as well as various services and tourist activities. It is expected to accommodate 400,000 populations.
