Egyptian Salah's goal-scoring form not a concern for Liverpool coach Klopp
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 06 - 12 - 2018

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that he is not interested in the debate raging about the form of his star Mohamed Salah, insisting that now is not the time to judge the Egyptian winger.
Salah has scored nine goals in 20 appearances so far this season, six fewer goals than at the same stage last season. The Pharaohs star was substituted in Sunday's 1-0 derby victory over Everton, a step that raised doubts about Klopp's satisfaction with Salah's current form.
"I don't have to repeat that," Klopp was quoted as saying by The Mirror on Tuesday, explaining that he is not interested in talking about Salah's form.
"How people judge it, you or whoever, I have no influence on. That's how it is. It's a free world and we can judge things however,” the coach added.
Salah, 26, made a dazzling debut campaign with the Premier League side last season, scoring 44 goals in all competitions as Liverpool reached the Champions League final and finished fourth in the Premier League.
He finished as the elite league's top scorer with 32 goals– a record tally in a 38-game top flight campaign.
Salah will be under the spotlight on Wednesday as Liverpool will be facing Burnley for a Premier League match.
"It's all good. I think he has scored seven so far in the league. Who has scored most? Aubameyang? And he scored twice in the last game. So nobody is 15 goals away from him,” the Liverpool coach said.
"The season is like it is, and we all have to start new. You can take nothing for granted and think things will be easy.
"He could have scored more with the chances he's had, but there is nothing else to say. Just try and get yourself ready for the next game, try to do your best and then after the season you will get judged, not during the season.
"You can do that, but for us that's not really important,” he concluded.
Liverpool currently lie second in the Premier League table with 36 points from 14 matches, five points behind leaders Manchester City who have played one match more.
