Egypt's AOI signs defence MoU with Pakistan's GIDS

Egypt's Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan's state-owned conglomerate Global Industrial and Defence Solutions (GIDS) to boost cooperation in defence manufacturing, AOI said on Tuesday.
AOI Chairman Mokhtar Abdel Latif said the agreement aims to deepen local production and localise advanced technologies across multiple defence sectors.
The deal also sets the stage for exploring further areas of joint collaboration, leveraging AOI's manufacturing capabilities, while officials from GIDS expressed eagerness to expand partnerships with AOI's factories and companies in the defence industry.
