Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Tuesday that the Egyptian-Qatari partnership in the Alam El-Roum area will create a fully integrated, world-class urban development in Marsa Matrouh on the country's northwest Mediterranean coast. Speaking at the government's weekly meeting in the New Administrative Capital, Madbouly described the project as a regional hub for residential, commercial, tourism, and service activities, positioning Alam El-Roum as a key coastal investment and tourism destination. He thanked all parties involved and underscored the government's ongoing efforts to attract foreign direct investment, noting that projects of this scale provide comprehensive development and multiple strategic benefits. Madbouly also highlighted his participation Sunday in the Egyptian/Gulf Trade and Investment Forum, emphasising its role in strengthening ties between Egypt and Gulf countries while promoting investment opportunities across the country. On 6 November, Egypt and Qatar signed a $29.7 billion partnership to develop a sprawling coastal project in Marsa Matrouh's Samala and Alam El-Roum area, under an agreement between Egypt's New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and Qatar's Diar Real Estate Investment Company.
