Trade exchange between Egypt and Japan grew by 22 percent year-on-year (YoY) to $1.3 billion during 2020, despite coronavirus pandemic, Chairman of Egypt-Japan Business Council and the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, Ibrahim El-Araby, revealed. Over the course of the year, the most populous Arab nation's exports to the Japanese market surged by 117%, while the country's imports from Japan rose by 5%, El-Araby said in a statement on Thursday. This statement came during the speech delivered by El-Araby during the roundtable held by Egypt-Japan Business Council.
