Cairo - A few hours after his return to Egypt following his official transfer to Liverpool for €40 million euros, Egyptian professional footballer Mohamed Salah presented his Egyptian national teammate Abdullah Al-Saeed with his new ‘Reds' shirt with No. 11 after signing for Liverpool. Salah will join Liverpool on 1 July 2017 after agreeing a transfer. He signed a long-term contract with the Reds for an initial €42m fee that could rise to up to €50m. For his part, Al-Saeed considered it the best gift he has ever received, especially as it came during Eid Al-Fitr feast, a time of joy and delight. Salah is known to have strong friendship with Al-Ahly footballer Abdullah Al-Saeed.
At the same time, Salah's transfer to Liverpool is still receiving great media attention in foreign press. Some newspapers have pointed out that Salah is the fourth Arab footballer to play in Liverpool after Moroccan footballers Nabil El Zhar, Oussama Assaidi, and Algerian Carl Medjani. A number of African players defended the color diversity in Liverpool, including retired Senegalese superstar footballers El Hadji Diouf and Sadio Mané.
