Sources within the government, revealed Monday in a statement to Youm7 News that Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail telephoned minister of interior, Magdy Abdel Ghaffar over Syndicate of Journalists crisis. Security forces stormed Sunday into the syndicate headquarters and detained two of its members. As a result, the syndicate had declared a sit-in at its headquarters, as a sign of its objection on the incident. The sources, who spoke to Youm7, on condition of anonymity, said that Ismail telephoned Abdel Ghaffar to stand on the repercussions of breaking into the syndicate's headquarters and learn the truth about the matter. The prime minister is expected to meet with interior minister on Tuesday, in order to discuss how to deal with the crisis, the sources added.
