Acting legend, Omar Sharif died Friday at the age of 83 years old, from a heart attack, after his long battle with Alzheimer's disease, Al Arabiya TV channel reported. Twitter users expressed their shock, love and grief towards famous actor, as some said that he asked a lot about the love of his life, late actress, Faten Hamama who was also an acting legend that passed away this year. Other users prayed for his soul to go to heaven and asked God to have mercy on him. Meanwhile, famous actors like Antonio Banderas and Jean-Claude Van Damme took to the Facebook to send their condolences to family and fans, and expressed their grief on the late actor. Banderas posted photos of himself along with the actor and wrote: "My great friend Omar Sharif has passed away. I will always miss him. He was one of the best. ‘Lawrence of Arabia', ‘Doctor Zhivago' and ‘Funny Girl' just these three are worth an entire career." While, Van Damme also posted a photo of himself with Sharif and wrote: "Today, I feel great grief for the world has lost a great man. All my condolences to the family and fans of Mr. Omar Sharif [Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago]. May his soul rest in peace." The late actor was nominated for an Academy Award, won three Golden Globe Awards and a César Award.
