Zambia FA to benefit from Ghana stars return The Zambia Football Association believes the inclusion of Ghana topliners in their crucial game next week will assist the Chipolopolo more than The Black Stars
The Zambia Football Association (ZFA) revealed Thursday that it will benefit from the return of Ghana topliners Kevin-Prince Boateng, Michael Essien and Andre Ayew to their national team, the Black Stars. The move, the ZFA believes, will create confusion in the Ghanaian squad. The Black Stars recalled the trio to take part in the upcoming game against Zambia in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers next week. "The inclusion of these players will be to Zambia's advantage as they have been out for long and will create confusion in the Ghana team," ZFA spokesman Erick Mwanza, was quoted as saying on SuperSport on Thursday. "We have the upper hand in crucial matches against Ghana, and we will be out to prove that in front of their home fans," he added. Ghana currently top Group D with 12 points, one ahead of Zambia. They need to avoid losing at home on 9 September in the final round of the group stage to secure their position then win the play-off match to reach the World Cup finals.
