Egypt Cultural Development Fund (CDF), under the Ministry of Culture, has issued a call for talents with special needs to participate in the third edition of the "Golden Talent” competition. Entries can include solo or group singing, playing an instrument, or a performance. Applicants are requested to submit a sample of their work that does not exceed three minutes through the CDF's website.
The competition accepts entries from Egyptians who have hearing, mental or motor disabilities. This year the competition expanded its scope to young people aged 15-30 who have visual impairment. Works can be submitted by an applicant or a private or governmental institution taking care of the applicant's development. Submission can be made from 9 August with a deadline of 10 September. The competition is an initiative of Fathy Abdel-Wahab, head of the Cultural Development Fund, in cooperation with El-Balad Today's Development Society.
