Egypt's Naval Forces rescued two French tourists Sunday from drowning south of the Red Sea, an army statement said. The statement revealed that a naval unit rushed to a sailing boat after it was hit by 40-knot wind speeds, causing the boat to start sinking near the Qandera coral reef in South Bernice in the Red Sea. Naval forces transferred the tourists to the nearest port where they received treatment. Earlier this month, Egyptian and French naval forces carried out maritime training exercises in Egyptian waters.
