Hatha El-Masaa (This Evening) has scooped four awards out of seven in the Syndicate of Filmmakers awards for Ramadan TV series, with Sunset Oasis following close behind. The prize-winners were selected by way of a vote, with 27 critics participating, and the awards presented at a Cairo ceremony on Sunday. The series Hatha Al-Masaa (This Evening) garnered the most votes in four categories out of seven; Tamer Mohsen won Best Director; Wael Farag took Best Editing; Tamer Mohsen won Best Script; and Nancy Abdelfattah won Best Costume Design. Sunset Oasis won three awards; Kamla Abo Zekry for Best Director; Reem Adel for Best Scenography; and Fawzy Al-Awamry for Best Cinematography. Director Samir Farag was also awarded for his directioon of Zel El-Raees (The President's Shadow), and the award for Best Makeup went to Mohamed Ashoub and Mohamed Abdelhamid for El-Gamaa 2.
