Mohamed Zidan wants Adam to be Danish
Egypt's striker Mohamed Zidan says he gave his new born son Adam the Danish nationality; hopes he will become a player in the Scandinavian national team

In a new declaration that may stir further debate in his Egyptian homeland, the Borussia Dortmund striker revealed that he wants to see Adam have "a great career" in Denmark, the country that launched his career.
“He is a Danish citizen. I had to choose between Germany and Denmark, but I am very proud of my Danish experience, and therefore he will be Danish,” the gifted striker, who spent six years in Denmark playing for AB and FC Midtjylland, told Danish newspaper BT on Monday.
Zidan and his Danish compatriot Stina gave birth to their child last Friday in an incident that sparked a cultural controversy among the Egyptians and the local press.
The 29-year old player had to step up to clear the situation by affirming that Stina is his wife since 2006 and that he kept it a secret for personal reasons.
The reports in the Danish media praised the player's recognition saying that ‘he hadn't forgotten the help he got here and he is willing to return the favor.
“I want to return to the Danish league in the future. My heart lies with FCM, but I also keep watching other teams when they play in Europe. I'm proud of what FC Copenhague had made in the UEFA Champions League,” he concluded.
