CAIRO: The Egyptian Stock market closed Sunday with mixed results, with mostly slight gains with the exception of the main index, the EGX 30, which closed down 0.08 percent. The EGX 20 rose 0.04 percent, the EGX 70 rose 0.48 percent, and the EGX 100 rose 0.33 percent on the day. Transactions were valued at 235.9 million EGP (U.S. $39.4 million). Arab investors made up 2.1 percent of transactions, while foreigners made up 11.1 percent. Egyptian investors made up the bulk of transactions at 86.8 percent. Stocks posting losses on the day included Ezz Steel at a 0.80 percent decline, Sodic down 0.56 percent, Hermes down 0.46 percent, Mobinil down 0.56 percent, Sewedy Electric down 0.53 percent, and Egypt Telecom down 0.86 percent.
