CAIRO: Protestors in Cairo's Tahrir Square opened the square to traffic today at noon and directed the traffic movement. They held signs saying, “The square is open according to the rebels' orders.” In related news, some protestors ended their sit-in while others said that some thugs are tearing their tents to get them to end their protest. This is the first time cars have passed through Tahrir Square since the sit-in began on November 19, which also saw the beginning of six days of violent clashes between people and police in Mohamed Mahmoud Street. Tahrir Square is a major traffic throughway in downtown Cairo.
