SHARQIA, Egypt: Egyptian presidential candidate Hazem Salah Abu Ismail said investigations with members of the former regime are shameful. If he wins the presidential elections, he will demand to repeat the investigations. Abu Ismail said his first decision after winning the elections will be reserving Egyptians' dignities and turning prisons into military camps. He also assured and encouraged women's right to participate in political life. Abu Ismail said the government is responsible for putting forth a plan of managing Egypt's affairs and developing its economy. He also said Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri's new government chose the new Minister of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim, whose hands are covered with Sudanese blood. Abu Ismail also criticized the military trails of civilians. He mentioned when the U.S. occupies any country, it turns its system to a parliamentary system although the U.S. applies the presidential system. The parliamentary system creates many conflicted sides inside Egypt that make it easier for the U.S. to control. “People want to breath freedom after the Egyptian January 25 Revolution,” Abu Ismail said. Abu Ismail attended the crowded conference organized in the governorate of Sharqia yesterday December 8. More than 4,000 Salafis and residents of the city attended the conference.
