CAIRO: Egyptian presidential candidate Amr Moussa prefers the upcoming regime in Egypt to be a presidential regime, not a parliamentary one. He added the president should rule not more than four to five years, and to be extended only once. He highlighted the president's powers shouldn't be absolute. Moussa said it is still too early to talk about the parliamentary election results as there are two phases remaining. “If the Islamists took the lead, all Egyptians must accept this because we asked for democracy and we must to respect the results,” Moussa added. Moussa was asked, “Will you pardon former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak if you become president?” Moussa replied that Mubarak is responsible for the disturbance in Egypt and Mubarak's fate will be decided by the constitution and in a fair trial. He considered the government of national salvation temporary and to help Egypt to pass the transitional period. He stressed on the importance of executing the revolutionary aims and requests. He added Egypt needs someone who is aware of the problems and to work on solving them. Arabic here
