CAIRO: A new study conducted by Fory found a greater demand in Egypt for e-payment methods for bill paying. Ninety percent of Egyptians said that saving time is their main concern when it comes to paying bills. Telephone bills, house payments, school fees and insurance installments are the most important bills, the study participants claim, and are in most need of arriving in time. “E-Payment processes are easier to pay telephone, mobile and cable fees,” the participants said. “The Ebsus Institute study shows that 85.6 percent of people participating want to have a more efficient way to pay bills,” said Ashraf Sabry, an executive manager at Fory. The average Egyptian family has between 15 and 17 different bills. It often takes one hour to pay one bill, and at three bills a month, this means a loss of three hours each month.
