Google dedicated today's Google Doodle to the first phase of the Egyptian elections that began in the nine governorates of Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Damietta, Kafr el-Sheikh, Fayoum, Asyut, Luxor and Red Sea today. Google shaped their logo's letters in the form of a ballot box, two voters behind a curtain, a paper, pen and an Egyptian flag. The Supreme Electoral Committee (SEC) headed by Counselor Abdel Moez Ibrahim issued a decision yesterday saying ballot boxes will be sealed shut at 7pm with red wax and stamped with the polling station judge's unique stamp. The remaining unused ballots will be put in envelopes, sealed with red wax and stamped using the judge's stamp. The number of votes cast will then be counted by going through the voter list at each polling station. The Administrative Court in Asyut yesterday called for voting to stop in the second individuals' district that includes Dayrout, Al Qoeseya and Manfaloot. This is by the citation number 23 established by candidate Hamada Qorshy. He forwarded his nomination papers for the workers' seat but was surprised to find his name among the categories candidates. Consequently, he forwarded a citation in which he called for a stop to the elections.
