CAIRO: April 6 Youth Movement called for the formation of a national salvation government with all political and economical powers to run Egypt's affairs within 48 hours. The movement also demanded the appointment of a new Prime Minister within 24 hours, forming a fact-finding committee about Saturday's incidents and trying all the perpetrators, and issuing a law decree guaranteeing the right of peaceful protest and freedom of expression. Regarding Egyptian Military leader Mohamed Hussein Tantawi's speech, given Tuesday evening, the movement said the person writing the speeches of ousted president Hosni Mubarak is the same person writing Tantawi's. They added that the Field Marshal also talks like Mubarak when he talked about the “invisible hands” Egyptians know are completely unfounded. The movement denounced Tantawi for not appointing a timetable for choosing a new government and not specifying its powers. The Military Council did not gain power by referendum for them to let go of it by referendum, the movement added.
