CAIRO: Youm7 conducted an opinion poll on international calls for releasing Egyptian activist Alaa Abdel Fattah. The poll asked the reader whether Egypt's ruling military council could respond to the international calls for releasing Abdel Fattah. The results showed 53.52 percent of readers voted “No,” the military council will not accept the international call, while 37.12 percent voted "Yes," they would. 9.36 percent of readers voted “Not interested.” Abdel Fattah is an Egyptian blogger and member of the January 25 Revolution youth. He is accused of inciting violence between Coptic Christians and the military forces during the Maspiro clashes. He is charged with four offenses: 1. Stealing a military gun. 2. Sabotaging military properties deliberately. 3. Assailing military soldiers. 4. Protesting and using violence against military forces.
