CAIRO: Dozens of members of the April 6 Movement arrived in Cairo's Iconic Tahrir Square today after a march from Qasr el-Ainy. They called for the release of Aly Sultan, who is imprisoned in a military prison, and to end the torture he has reportedly endured. The call comes a day after 24-year-old Essam Ali Atta was reportedly tortured to death in Tora Prison. Mohamed al-Hussein, a member of the political bureau of April 6, said the march began at the Zeinhom morgue. The plan was to carry Atta's corpse to Tahrir Square, but morgue authorities would not allow this.
