CAIRO: The head of Egypt's Illicit Gains Authority, Assem al-Goharey, said today that Swiss authorities are conducting a wide investigation into the activities of the sons of ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The investigation looks into the assets and credit of Alaa and Gamal Mubarak in Swiss banks. It is believed that Mubarak's sons and other businessmen committed money laundering crimes in Switzerland. Gohary added that the Swiss authorities revealed that the both Gamal and Alaa had 340 million Swiss Franc out of a total 410 million Switzerland has recently frozen of former Egyptian officials' assets. Thus, the toppled president's sons had the highest ratio of the frozen assets inside Switzerland.
