Workers in three privatized companies organize protest

The workers of three privatized companies are organizing a protest in front of the State Council next Wednesday, after the Administrative Court ruled the companies' contracts of sale were void.
Labor activist Jamal Othman, a worker in the Tanta Flax and Oil Company and the filer of a lawsuit contesting the validity of the contract of sale, told Youm7 that the workers movement is working to renationalize a number of companies.
Othman alleges renationalization will not affect the level of economic growth and investment in the companies
He explained that the objective of the workers' movement before and after the revolution was to restore the rights of the workers and to counter the negative effects of privatization.
