Al-Gomhorreya: The highest ranking high school students in Egypt met with the German deputy Foreign Minister during their visit to Germany. The German minister praised the role of the youth in the Egyptian January 25 Revolution, stressing the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs is carefully monitoring the situation in Egypt. He added the German government took important decisions to support education in Egypt, including projects such as the Futures Initiative, which aims to support peaceful change. One of the German government's objectives is to increase the number of scholarships available and aid from institutes to students. He said Germany would establish a development fund in Egypt with a capital of half a U.S. $100 million to support education, starting next year.
