The three main Egyptian stock indexes today slid in the mid-trading session due to heavy selling by foreign and institutional investors amidst relatively strong Arab and Egyptian buying. The Main EGX 30 fell 0.85 percent, the EGX 70 slid 0.79 percent and the small company EGX100 dropped 0.95 percent. Blue-chip shares also tumbled, including Sinai Cement, down 1.9 percent; Orascom Construction, down 1.05 percent; Commercial International Bank, down 0.42 percent; Saeed for General Contracting, down 0.72 percent and El Kalaa, down 4.5 percent. However, both Ezz Steel and Hermes made gains, rising 1.5 and 0.91 percent, respectively.
