Two protestors demonstrating outside the Israeli embassy in Cairo today filed a report at the Giza police prosecution claiming people were spreading rumors about the true identity of the "Flagman." The Flagman scaled the Israeli Embassy in Cairo and replaced the Israeli flag with an Egyptian flag. A media and publicity professional and one protestor brought a complaint to officials after witnessing a report on Mehwar Channel claiming that the true name of Flagman is Mustafa Kamel, not Ahmed el-Shahat. The report also claimed that el-Shahat was attempting to take credit for the heroic moment. The complainants claim they both witnessed and encouraged el-Shahat to scale the building and replace the flag flying outside the Israeli embassy.
